Linda Proulx, MA
Nationally Certified Career Counselor


Linda Proulx is a career consultant, coach and training professional with over 15 years of experience in corporate, community and private practice settings. In 1997 Linda founded Worklife & Learning to help individuals make rewarding career decisions and increase their worklife satisfaction. She also consults with organizations to build people development programs that promote resilience and retention of key talent.

In her career consulting and coaching practice, Linda works with people to assess their strengths and identify career and organizational opportunities where they can make significant contributions and flourish. She is certified to use the Career Design Guide, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Firo-B, Leadership Architect and a variety of other assessment tools.

Linda’s clients hail from a wide variety of organizations including high tech companies, start-ups, financial services, health-care, government, education, agriculture and non-profit organizations.

Linda has worked as Career Services Manager for eProNet, an Internet recruiting and career management firm and as Senior Content Developer for MindSteps, a start-up company that produced the first Internet-based career development software. From 1994-1996 she managed Raychem Corporation’s Career Center, a model for career services within organizations. Prior to specializing in career management and people development, Linda worked for 11 years as a training manager and curriculum designer for Syntex Laboratories.

In addition to her background with large corporations and start-up companies, Linda has worked in health care, higher education, government and community service. With her breadth of experience, she quickly grasps the issues and opportunities that exist in diverse work settings.

After receiving her MA in education and counseling at Arizona State University, Linda earned a post-graduate certificate in career development from JFK University’s School of Management in Orinda, California. She has attended leadership development workshops through the Center for Creative Leadership and Personnel Decisions, Inc. and has served as adjunct professor for career development in the graduate program at Santa Clara University.
